Remington Model 1882 Grade 3 with original rifle barrel insert (as seen on page 97 in Semmer's book). Thirty inch Damascus barrels have good bores and very good Damascus finish. The right barrel is indexed for the rifle barrel which appears to be about a 45-90 cal. and has excellent bores.  Locks are crisp but bolting is slightly loose. Action is a smooth patina with no rust. The replacement stock has the original steel butt plate, is solid without cracks or breaks but is ill configured. (SN14267) Remingtons with rifle barrels are extremely rare.
