loading cap lock. Ca. 1868. Gun SN 1342 is 6 pounds 10 ounces, 12 gauge
(0.730 bore) with 29 inch barrels and no choke. The stock measures: LOP=
14 1/8 X D@C=1 3/8 X D@H=2 1/8 inches. The serial number is found on the
bottom of the barrels and breach block under the stock and on the locks.
The number 1 is found below the serial number which could indicate a grade.
Top rib is marked “FINE STUB TWIST". The bars of the action are marked
E. Allen & Co. Makers. This gun is in antique very good to fine condition.
It has good bores and new nipples and locks are crisp as new despite 150
years age. A true piece of early America and a real shooter. Almost rare.
